Vertical Speed Indicator

Indu Vertical Speed Indicator is an electronic device, which mimics classical variometer construction and combines it with the state of the art electronics. This results in the best of both worlds; a perfect and intuitive analogue reading combined with high precision of modern electronics.

We take great care to design our instruments lightweight and slim as possible. Variometer only weighs 210 g.

Static connection

The variometer must be connected to the static pressure source. Either fuselage side surfaces or from the static port on the pitot tube.

CAN bus connection

When connected to the bus, variometer will transmit vertical speed data to other units connected to the bus.

Linear 230° scale

Display is divided linearly in 230° scale with colour LCD display in the center.

Different scales

The instrument can be delivered with two different scales. Scale in meters per second [-10, 10]; Scale in feet per minute [-2000, 2000`}.

Barometric sensor

High precision electronic barometric sensor, which provides static pressure information in digital form.

Different display configurations

There are multiple display configurations for vertical speed indicator. Configuration must be specified at the time of order.

Colour LCD display

The vertical speed information is also shown on a colour LCD display.

Slave unit

Slave unit requires I-ALT or EMSIS PFD or NESIS to be present on the CAN bus.
